Hebrews 5:11 - 6:20 contains one of the most misunderstood passages in the entire Bible. Too many approach this passage with their doctrinal baggage rather than keeping the context of the passage in mind. It is speaking to Jewish believers who are being tempted to abandon Jesus and return to their former Old Covenant relationship with God. However, they find that, now that they have come to Christ, it is impossible for them to return to that Old Covenant relationship.
