How does a child learn to walk? He/she falls, got back up, and then the fall again. Abram's faith was faulty and fragile, but he does have faith. Walking by faith is difficult. It is filled with landmines of temptation that are impossible for us to navigate perfectly. Walking by faith starts with baby steps. We do learn, we do improve. This is all how we grow.

Through faith we are clothed in the righteousness of Christ. We are a new creation. God has changed the very essence of our nature, giving us new desires, new affections. The reality of the new nature is demonstrated in a changed life.
