Genesis 27:30-45 - This is the 52nd in a series of messages in the Book of Genesis preached at Island Baptist Church in Beach Haven, NJ. Visit us on the web at www.hopeoflbi.com.

Repentance is not a fancy word for saying you’re sorry. Repentance is a word that simply means “to change one’s mind.” It’s not a one-time thing but a lifestyle believers live. A more complete definition based upon how the authors of the Bible use the word would be, “a change of mind that leads to a change of action.” Would it surprise you to learn that the Bible talks about a “true repentance” and a “false repentance” – that someone can exhibit behaviors which, on the outside, look like repentance, but are rooted in a source other than God?
