Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm. — Proverbs 13:20
One of the great slogans of parents is: "Bad company ruins good morals."
And so, in a similar fashion, Solomon reminds us that the people we spend time with affect us.
So here is my challenge for you today. I want you to assess your relationships. Just take a few minutes to consider the people you spend most of your time with. Then evaluate which side of the column they might fall into — wise or fool. And then, I would consider making sure the quantity of names in the "wise" column far outweighs those in the foolish column.
One way to change this immediately is by befriending a wise and godly man today.
ASK THIS: What kind of wisdom do you need today?
DO THIS: Invite a man to lunch or dinner who has this wisdom.
PRAY THIS: God, bring more wise men my way.
PLAY THIS: No One Like Our God — Lincoln Brewster.
