Given the Helper! (Part Two)
John 16:5-15
Jesus wanted to let the disciples know that He was not going to leave them in a state of abandonment, but that He and the Father would send forth a Helper (Holy Spirit) (John 16:7, 15:16). The Helper was coming with a direct purpose, to convict the world of sin, to convict people concerning righteousness and to bring about truthful judgements upon all (John 16:8-11). Secondly, He was NOT coming to glorify Himself, put to glorify Jesus Christ, to be a guide to the fulness of who God is (John 16:14-15). Disciple Principle: We have through the Holy Spirit, a Helper who will help us and witnesses into our hearts, guiding us concerning sin, righteousness, and judgments. Remember: The Father and Christ has sent us the Helper to Help us, and we need to surrender to Him and let Him help us in all areas of our life. (John 14:25-26, John 15:26, John 16:7).
