Many psalms are worshipful, but some reflect a writer who was disheartened. King David was often in the trenches of spiritual warfare. Why would God allow such despondency in the Bible? Because it shows us that our first instinct should be to run to God. He hears our prayers and understands our tears. The Lord fights our battles for us! Let’s pour out our cares to God and let Him handle everything.
