God has sent us as salt and light to this generation. You might not want to yield to His assignment, but you’ll miss God’s plan for your life. As Christ-followers, we’ve been sent into the world—into the marketplace, schools, and neighborhoods. We’ve been sent to our families, and that starts at our kitchen table. Now, that’s not always easy, and Jesus knew that. It’s why He said that we don’t have to be afraid because He has given us His peace. That’s why He told us that God’s Spirit within us is greater than the spirit in the world. That’s why Jesus called us to rejoice when all manner of evil is spoken against you because of Him, because “great is your reward in Heaven.” In the meantime, we’re on assignment.
