Over the past two days, I've shared with you about some principles of worship. And that worship is not just limited to a place, but it's focused on a person. I've shared with you that according to the Bible; there is really no prohibition against loud music, or loud worship. It really is about the suitability the appropriateness therein.
And so worship is to be a focus of our lives on God. And we also saw last devotional that we worship Him because He has saved us, because of what He has done for us.
But I'd like to move on further in Psalm 33:4-6, I see that we worship God not just because of what He has done for me, but simply because of Who He is. So not what He did, but Who He is.
In verses 4 to 6, we see that we worship Him because He loves righteousness and judgment. We worship Him because the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. We worship Him because by the word of the Lord, were the heavens made.
You know why we worship God? It's not just because of what He has done, but also because of Who He is. That He is righteous, He is good, and He is powerful.
He is worthy of worship. We worship Him not just because of what I can get, but because He is worthy. It is fitting for God's people to worship Him, because He is so great and so good.
Today you need to come to the place of worship, you need to come to the position of worship, you need to come and look at God and to say, "Lord I worship You for Who You are, because You are worthy." And you know when you do that, fears and doubts and discouragements will melt away because you are soaking in the majesty, the splendor and the goodness of the Lord.
May your heart, may your life, be filled with His glory, His greatness, and His goodness. God bless.
