Here are 3 signs God is telling you to wait for someone you want to be with.

1. If Waiting Is the Only Way You Will Know the Future

God will reveal the future once it becomes your present. If you know in the present God does not want you with this person, don’t wait.

Isaiah 40:31 “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

2. God May Be Telling You to Wait for Someone If You and This Person Do Want to Date But There Is a Specific Issue That Needs to Be Overcome First

Perhaps one of you is about to move, going through a season of spiritual repentance, or both of you are too young. Waiting might change things like this. But if the variables will not change with time, usually this is a sign God is telling you not to wait.

Micah 7:7, “But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.”

3. If You Two Are Headed Towards Dating But Just Need More Time to Connect

Don’t wait years or decades. But if you are just getting to know someone or just made a move, now you need to give this person time to see if they like you too.

Lamentations 3:25, “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
