Our text today in Acts 19 reminds us that sometimes an unbelieving person recognizes the power of the Gospel to bring about change more than believers, for the silversmith Demetrius becomes alarmed that Paul's teaching that man-made gods are no gods at all will ruin him and his fellow artisans who make silver shrines to the goddess Artemis. As followers of the most powerful force on earth (the Holy Spirit), we need to recapture our belief that "we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us," and that, in God's hands, our little becomes much.
