A. Trials stir PERSEVERANCE (v 3b)
B. Perseverance stirs CHARACTER (v 4a)
C. Character stirs HOPE (v 4b)
D. Hope never DISAPPOINTS (v 5)
VII.We were UNGODLY and POWERLESS, yet Christ died for us (v 6a)
A. It was in God’s TIME (v 6b)
B. It was an UNCOMMON, unbelievable love (v 7)
VIII. We were SINNERS, yet God demonstrated His love for us (v 8a)
A. By Christ’s DEATH (v 8b)
B. By JUSTIFICATION (v 9a)
C. By SAVING us from wrath (v 9b)
IX. We were ENEMIES, yet God reconciled and saved us (v 10-11)
A. We are RECONCILED through Christ’s death (v 10a)
B. We are SAVED through Christ’s life (v 10b)
C. We are given JOY through Christ’s reconciliation (v 11)
VI. There is the continuous experience of God’s LOVE through the indwelling SPIRIT
