It’s Easter! So you already know that this week is a continuation from last week’s message. Just in case you missed it, Rev. James Douglas highlighted 3 major events, Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday. But today we’ll hear all about the GOOD NEWS FROM THE GRAVEYARD! You gotta admit, when most think of a graveyard, death, sadness and gloom immediately comes to mind. Some even fear it. However, there was a FAITHFUL FEW (you’ll get the reference if you viewed last week’s sermon) who thinks the opposite-for they were first eye witnesses to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Rev. Douglas describes what they saw at the empty tomb & uses the words of Matthew, Peter and David as proof. But he also focuses on one special disciple, Mary Magdalene, who had come back to His grave to prepare His body with a few others. She’s the Mary who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears & wiped them with her hair. Jesus had looked beyond her past and delivered her from not 1 but 7 demons!!! He does that for us too and because of it we owe Him a life that is a living sacrifice. So how much do we love Him? As much as Mary Magdalene? Imagine what this world would look like if everyone did.
