With a diverse student body ranging from high school grads to retirees, Charis continues to draw in people from every walk of life to come and discover their unique calling. Including Marty Sheppard, who, while in her 70s, decided to attend our Charis location in Charloette, North Carolina, where she not only received healing in body, but discovered a renewed purpose for her life when her newly saved grandson wrote to her from prison asking for a bible.

Knowing how much Charis changed her life, Marty shared Andrew's teachings with her grandson, leading to the salvation of 11 more inmates who all requested more materials. At a time when most are slowing down, Marty took on the challenge and started Granny’s Bible Study.
