God gave us a sense of right and wrong, and He gave us feelings of guilt, or conviction, when we do wrong. Guilt can be a good thing! Pangs of conviction from the Holy Spirit are God's way of telling us, “I love you. Don't do that.” We don’t have to live feeling guilt-ridden and condemned. But when we sense God’s holy conviction, we can acknowledge our sins and become free of them.
