Our Father, you are the Author and Sustainer of life both natural, spiritual, and eternal. We live and move and have our being in you. All creatures are upheld and supported by your almighty and infinite power. You are worthy of our praise because you created all things and by your will they exist. Yet we have sinned by withholding the honor you deserve and not carefully pursuing and lawfully practicing those things which preserve the lives of ourselves and others. Personally, we have not been sensible and temperate with food, drink, work, and recreation. Socially, we have belittled with our words, troubled with our worries, and quarreled in our pride. Inwardly, we have not resisted thoughts and purposes of doing harm, but have indulged feelings of resentment, cherished attitudes of spite, and nurtured roots of bitterness against our fellow man. Please forgive us for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:

The third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
