Somewhere along the way, Christmas got hijacked. In fact, the very word, "Christmas" has been emptied of its meaning and handed back to us minus its power.

Sometimes even as Christians, we make the celebration of the season more hallmark than Holy Bible: Snowy scenes, sleigh rides, frosty windows.

But the real story of the birth of Jesus wasn't polished and it wasn't pretty. It was raw, it was real, and it was redemptive.
