God calls His people to the discipline of obedience when it comes to generosity. To live with the perspective that He is the ultimate provider, and it is all His to begin with. If this is the case, we can live with loose hands rather than clenched fists when it comes to money. Generosity is a test of affection and gratitude, but it is ultimately a test of obedience- of trust. Are we really trusting the one who holds all in possession, or our possessions?
