In this passage of John we find the conclusion of this discussion for now. The conversation ended with with this group wanting to stone Jesus. The end was Jesus pointed out that Abraham rejoiced at the day Jesus came, and they pointed out that He wasn't even 50 years old, How could Abraham have rejoiced. The Jesus said before Abraham I AM, which is a direct reference to Messiah at which time they understood and that's why they wanted to stone Him. But it was not yet His time.
