The LORD makes his case against the wickedness of the rulers of God’s people and of the prophets who are supposed to guide them in righteous ways. The LORD describes how the rulers and prophets have oppressed those they rule over and led them astray.

He therefore promises to bring about justice for the oppressed as he punishes the rulers and prophets who have turned away from righteousness.
