Hosea 12:6 (NLT)
So now, come back to your God. Act with love and justice, and always depend on him.

There isn't a lot to say on this, it's straightforward. We always return to God. He is dependable, he is constant. He is fair. Any time it is that we may begin to stray and follow what we think is the path, God has a way of correcting our path or our behaviors so that they coincide with His plan and who we are supposed to be. So if you get off base… just come back. His love endures the goods and evils of the world.
