How will you know when you’ve met “the one” God wants you to marry?

First, the relationship will be biblical. God will never lead you to disobey what he already commanded you to do in Scripture (James 1:22).

Second, the Holy Spirit will confirm this person is the one through giving you a peace in your heart that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).

Third, the relationship itself will have circumstantial evidence that will support the inner conviction you have. If you feel someone is “the one” even though this person does not like you, this probably means you misheard the Spirit’s leading.

Ultimately, when you meet the one, you will actually get married to this person. If you don’t marry this person, they are not the one because God never lies (Titus 1:2).
