Welcome to Calvary's Online Campus!
The message is from the book of John 11:17-44 with a title called How to Move Forward in Grief
Intro: Our passage to day is awesome in so many ways
He shows his victory and power over death, but one of the most important is He Helps the Grieving.
We pick up this account with Jesus returning to Judaea.
He heard news that Lazarus who he loved was sick so he delayed.
In fact is says he loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
He not only lets Lazarus die, but the two sisters enter into grief
Now what unfolds is a great lesson on grief what and what not to say to help someone.
And How to handle your own grief, If you are in the middle of grief this is going to Help.
If you know someone driving this is going to help you
This is also a picture that death is not the last chapter, that has yet to be written.
Life is like a book
Before we see this women in there grief let see what the Bible has to say about Grief
A few quick thoughts about grief,
Going through grief is natural and necessary,
A great loss takes time to recover from,
People can grieve different things and at different levels,
Of course the death of a loved one, the loss of health, the loss of a job you loved, a break up in a relationship, the loss of a pet.
These all cause different levels of grief some easer to go through than others
people can sometimes be helpful you go through grief, but often they are a hinderance,
They say trite things, Like God wanted them more that you wanted them,
They don’t know what to say so they say the wrong thing.
In you grief be patience with them they want to help they just don’t know how.
We will talk about how to help someone in giving in just a few minuets
We pray that you are blessed by the message!
