In God’s great mercy, He has given us a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross, we don’t ever again have to be captured by hopelessness and despair. We may see circumstances that bring despair and walk through shadowed valleys where hope is small. But our hope is alive—it’s centered in a Person, in an authority, and in a power greater than any circumstance, diagnosis, or challenge we might face. That is good news. We have a living hope because of Jesus.
