Dr. Jordan Rogers preached this sermon in preparation for observing Resurrection Sunday in 2019. In this sermon, Dr. Rogers examines the example of the woman who anointed Jesus with a costly bottle of fragrance, and the Lord's response to the indignation of the disciples.

How you use your time, energy, and possessions shows what you really care about. When Jesus is your treasure, you will give Him your best. When possessions are your treasure, Jesus never gets your best (if anything).

How you use your treasure can also point others to Jesus. You can use your time, energy, and possessions as instruments for honoring and worshiping the Lord. If you use your treasures in this way, your investment will truly be worth remembering.

These are truths that are all apparent in the Gospel account when a woman came into a home where Jesus was eating dinner with others, and she broke open a very costly bottle of ointment and anointed Him. The disciples were very angry, supposing she wasted her treasure, but Jesus corrected them by telling them that this woman invested wisely, because she used her treasure to honor Him.
