Why does God never tire of reminding us that salvation is the gift of his grace? Because we never tire of trying to earn his favor through our good works. We are addicted to a “works” salvation like the addict is to his cocaine. We need the constant reminder of Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Did you hear Paul? I mean really hear him? à FREE GIFT!
