Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. If you believe you can’t be deceived, you already are. We like to imagine evil is always brazen, forceful, and easy to distinguish from good, but it isn't. It wouldn't be called temptation if it wasn't attractive and wouldn't draw us in. It may seem contradictory to imagine the voice of evil as "comforting," but our adversaries are seasoned professionals. They know what it takes to deceive and persuade us to take a destructive path. But guess what? You and I serve someone more powerful with greater authority. We need to put on the armor of God, read our Bible, and pray for the Lord's intervention in our lives. Spiritual forces are real. We can't fight this battle on our own, and by the grace of God, we don't have to!
