You know, one of the things I’ve learned as a pastor is that God doesn’t waste anything—not our pain, not our success, not even the messes we make along the way. And if you want a story that shows just how true that is, you don’t have to look any further than Jennifer O’Neill.
Some of you might remember her days as a Hollywood actress and CoverGirl model. For decades, she was the picture of success in the modeling and film industries. From the outside, it looked like she had it all; but what the lights of Hollywood often can’t show you is the emptiness that fame and fortune can leave behind. Jennifer’s story isn’t just one of success—it’s one of brokenness, too. She went through the kinds of struggles many of us know all too well: emotional pain, failed relationships, depression, and deep regret.

Her story reminds us that our past doesn’t disqualify us from God’s future. In fact, God will take the very places of your deepest hurt and use them for His greatest glory!
