Public health agencies issued guidance, and almost without question, churches across the country went silent. Doors closed. Worship ceased. Ministry was paused. Not because of persecution—but because of fear. But COVID didn’t just test our readiness—it exposed our priorities. It revealed that much of what we called faith was comfortable as long as it didn’t cost us anything.
