Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the weight of shame? Whether it’s shame that has been forced on to you by others, or you are wrestling with it internally, there’s a way for you to be free of that burden.

In Mark 14:33-34, Jesus feels overwhelmed by the weight of the pain He’s feeling, stating that His soul was “overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death”. Rather than hiding this, He asked three of His disciples to keep watch for Him– to look out for Him. Jesus was deeply vulnerable with those that He trusted in a moment of great burden. Who in your life can you look to when your heart feels overwhelmed?
