We live in a world longing for peace. Peace in our circumstances, peace in our relationships, peace in our home and on our streets. And our world isn’t just longing for a peace that surrounds us, but a peace within us. But our personal past and our world’s problems feel like scales that can never be balanced out, and because of that, peace feels unattainable. Yet in the shadow of this reality stands a cross and an empty tomb. We can find peace with God through Jesus. And on this Easter weekend, we are reminded once again that because of the cross we can experience peace within this world from the One who has overcome it.
