Hearing about what it means to fall in love, and being in love yourself is a very different thing. You can hear about people describe to you what falling in love means, but you will never be quite the same as you yourself being in love. Experiencing falling in love.

You see, you can teach a 5 year-old girl that falling in love means that you will hold your partner's hands, you will be talking on the phone, you will be looking and staring at the photo, you will go out for meals together. You can teach the 5 year-old girl all that, but it will never be the same as her falling in love herself many years later. Until she experiences it personally and encounters the person she loves.

The Bible tells me that our relationship with God is not so much what we can describe only, but what we must experience ourselves. Our relationship with God is to be an experiential one, of course it's got to be rooted in truth, in the Scriptures, and God is not only a God of emotions to us, but also the God of our minds, the God who needs to be understood and known through the Bible. But our relationship with God is more than a theory, or set of information. It is about a relationship.

You see that's what the psalmist says in Psalm 27:4, he says, "One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple."

It speaks of intimacy; it speaks of a personal relationship with a true and living God. God to him is not just a set of information or truths; God to him is a person who he loves, who he desires, who he admires, who he wants to seek. And that's what Paul says, right? In Philippians 3 that this is his goal in life, that he may know Christ.

I ask you today, have you experienced Christ? Do you really know Him in a personal way? Well, this is Christianity, that we will behold God in His beauty, to admire and to adore Him. May you seek and ask God to give you a deep wonderful living relationship with God. May you fall in love in a very real way with God and His Son. God bless.
