In today's video, we research and answer the question: Is 1 Tim 5:24 about the Judgment Seat of Christ?

“Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.” (1Tim 5:24)

If you look at this verse set apart or taken out of context, this verse appears to say that a man's sins will be made manifest before the judgment and for others, they will follow after.

If you consider the text before and after this verse, in other words, consider it in its context, the verse has to do with appointing elders in the local church and not the Judgment Seat of Christ.

This is a great example why when studying the bible, we should never consider the meaning of a verse taken by itself, but always consider the context,

The bible will never contradict itself when verses are studied in context and rightly divided.
