We’re living in a remarkable time. God is opening doors we didn’t even know were there. People are finding their way to worship through screens and phones and living rooms, and at the same time, the church house is fuller than it’s ever been. Only the Lord can multiply like that. It reminds me that His ability to reach people isn’t limited by geography or buildings.
We’ve picked up an idea that if God is truly moving, everything around us should settle down. No turmoil. No resistance. No pushback. We imagine that the presence of God guarantees the absence of trouble.
When Jesus was born, the angels filled the sky with praise, and within a short time, innocent children were being slaughtered by a frightened king. God was moving in the most remarkable way the world had ever seen, and at the very same moment, evil was pushing back with all its strength.
Why do we imagine following God should remove every storm instead of guiding us through it?
