In Genesis 1:26-27, the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) translates the Hebrew word "adam" as "man" and the New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition (NRSVUE) translates it as "humans." Is "humans" a gender neutral translation, as in reading gender neutrality into the text, or is it gender accurate, as in reflecting the meaning inherent to the text?
