A Prayer of the Day. "But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy. I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in my people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more. … Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:18-19, 24 NIV)

Lord, thank you for hearing our prayer. You’ve known the cry of our souls. You are not only listening to our prayers but also carrying our burdens together with us in the mildest of challenges and difficulties. Lord, when you created the heavens and the earth, you said it was good. Lord, now you’ve promised that you will create new heavens and a new earth. There will be full of joy, no more tears and no more mourning. I don’t know how but I know you will do it, and it’s happening. Lord, help us to stand firm to your promise in this challenging time. Fill our mouths with praise and delight to you because you are a great God and doing wonderful things. In Jesus name. Amen.
