While [the lame man] clung to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's. And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk? — Acts 3:11-12

This is, without a doubt, an amazing moment. We can pretty much guess that everyone gathered knew this unnamed lame man. He had been carried to this entrance for decades. Yet his life was changed in an instant by the outstretched hand of Peter. But do not be confused. It was not Peter who did this — it was God. And Peter here does a fabulous job of deferring credit where credit is due. While he could have taken credit, he doesn't take it. He gives it all to God.

You know, I think God does some pretty amazing stuff all the time. But we miss the amazing things he does for the same two reasons inferred here. Either we fail to see and make the connection. Or we do see it but fail to give God credit so that others can see and make the connection.

Today's let's commit to giving more credit where credit is due — directly and only to God. So as you are moving throughout your day, look for more of those divine connections. Look to see where God is doing something in your life or someone else's. And then promptly give God credit. Give your undivided attention to God's work and when you see it give verbal credit to Him. And let's open our eyes and others to a supernatural God who still does supernatural things.
