In the New Testament book of James, we read: “Don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God” (James 4:4, NIV®). Church, we have been so confused. We haven’t been willing to be unique or different from the world. God is awakening us. Where we have failed to use our voices to stand for biblical truth, whether through indifference or willful ignorance, perhaps today we could say to the Lord, "I’m sorry. I want to choose a new path."
