James 1:27
"Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."

There are so many people that label themselves as "religious" but don't control their tongues, their words, minds, and thoughts. Some people are lying to themselves and those around them. They use their picture of God and their faith as a poster to promote their own agendas and success. Obedience to God is meant to be followed down to the very end of every word and sentence that we speak. In the actions that we display towards others. The current state of politics and religion is often corrupted by human leadership, thought's, and actions. It is now just as difficult as it was in James's time to practice a pure and undefiled spirituality and religion. The world is needy for real Christian leaders that will care for everyone, as equals. It starts inside each individual who is truly pure of heart, practicing the actions, merely planning to do things the right way is not enough, we must act.
