Paul and Barnabas continue to speak about Jesus and in the process, welcome in large numbers of Gentiles. Some of the Jewish believers became jealous and began to oppose Paul and Barnabas, but why? It's easy to not realize what a painful argument this must have been. Like Paul's opponents, do we sometimes become jealous and resist changes that bring in new folks that change the look and feel of our familiar spaces? Do we also push people away rather than stay involved in difficult but vital conversations? They needed God's Spirit and so do we.
