A Prayer of the Day. “But the LORD is with me like a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble, and they will not prevail. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten.” (Jeremiah 20:11 NRSV)

Lord, I am so grateful that you are on my side. You are my refuge in times of trouble. You are my comforter when I am depressed. Just being a Christ follower is a real battle in societies. Sharing the good news is like a sheep goes into a flock of wolf. When people ignore me, I feel I am cut off from the relationship. When people make fun of my faith, I feel I am smashed. Lord Jesus, you have experienced these and said, “Take courage. I have overcome the world.” And you prayed for those who crucified you, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Lord, it is so true that they do not know what they are doing, where they are heading toward. They cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. Lord, shine your light through me and strengthen me to continue to stand firm for the sake of the gospel, hope of nations. In Jesus name. Amen.
