Why did He have to be fully human? Why did He have to be just like us? Well He had to be fully human, 1 to identify with us and then to substitute for us on the cross. He had to be like us. Why did He have to be divine, not like us? He had to identify with us and substitute for us on the cross but He had to be fully divine also because He had to be able to forgive sin in us and also to conquer death for us by His resurrection. He needed to be fully human and He needed to be fully divine. And this is what the Christian church has taught for 2,000 years. And as such He is all-sufficient.
