Jesus leaves Jerusalem and returns to the place where he was baptized by John. John was very important to the Jewish people, both at that time, and in the period just after Jesus was resurrected. And so, it is here that Jesus gathers and prepares his people right before going to Jerusalem where he will die. The point Jesus closes out with, in Chapter 10, is that our role as Jesus followers is inclusion -- wild, radical inclusion -- and love.
