One aspect of our journey is to notice Jesus’ own journey to the cross and how He relied upon the Holy Spirit for endurance. Since Luke wrote both a Gospel and the book of Acts, we focus on Jesus’ experience of spiritual persecution as recorded in Luke when possible.

How does the Spirit lead and guide us as we endure temptation? What kind of help do we need from Him when we face such times? How can we cultivate a relationship with the Spirit as our Helper during times when we are tempted? How can we experience His presence when we go through wilderness experiences?
