We're journeying with Jesus down the Way of Sorrows, using the Scriptural Stations of the Cross as our guide.
The agonizing hours on the cross wear on, and Jesus only has a few breaths of life left in him. Yet, he uses these precious final moments not to focus on himself, but to form a new family that would be defined by love.
Why was Jesus still caring for others while enduring agony? How did Mary feel watching her son die? And as the church, are we a community marked by love and care for the most vulnerable? These are the questions we ponder as we visit Station XII and see Jesus entrust his mother, Mary, and friend John to each other.

???? Bible Reading:
John 19:25-27
Standing near the cross were Jesus’ mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary (the wife of Clopas), and Mary Magdalene.
