Continuing our review of the Lord's prayer that stretches through centuries. In the first part of his prayer he was speaking for himself, and then in verses 6-19 we saw that it widened to include the disciples, and from verse 20 onwards it broadens again to include us. How future-oriented are our prayers? The unity of the body of Christ is so important. Divisions in the church breeds atheism in the world. The sayings of Jesus are equally authoritative as the prophecies of the Old Testament. The Lord Jesus has the safest pair of hands in the universe: he loses nothing.
