WARNING! This is not the traditional Jonah & the big fish story that you’re used to. In Rev. Douglas’s words, don’t go fetching the hot sauce from the cabinet (or in my case the fridge-I like my hot sauce cold) for your 3 piece lake trout dinner!!! This is a story about a reluctant prophet who runs from God, suffers a mighty storm both physically & spiritually & has a tantrum when God’s will was done. Jonah is the epitome of a Cold Hearted Soul! However, if you take a look/listen at JONAH, THE COLD HEARTED PROPHET (Jonah 1:1-3 & 4:6-10; 59 Minutes; SRBC Cyber Sermon #46) you’ll find that the “warm blood of Jesus can still run through cold hearted veins.” Of the many lessons you may learn from this powerful message, I’ll only mention two. “it’s better to run to God than away from him and that our choices will either cause blessings or troubles.
