Deuteronomy 7:1-4 - "When the Lord your God brings you into the land that you are entering to take possession of it, and clears away many nations before you....You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you
Judges 17:6 - In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
Proverbs 19:21 - Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

It would be wiser to obey the Lord as no plan or purpose of His can be thwarted.

Numbers 6:3-4 - he shall separate himself from wine and strong drink. He shall drink no vinegar made from wine or strong drink and shall not drink any juice of grapes or eat grapes, fresh or dried. All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, not even the seeds or the skins.
Numbers 6:6-7 - "All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he shall not go near a dead body. Not even for his father or for his mother, for brother or sister, if they die, shall he make himself unclean, because his separation to God is on his head.

However much God may bless us, it is important that we stay faithful and humble always.

James 1:12-14 - Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am being tempted by God," for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

Despite the hardship and turmoil that might come into our lives, it is God's grace that prevails.
