John 2:24-25 - But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man.

No matter how much the Lord blesses us, we are still prone to worship other things.

Judges 2:11-14a - And the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served the Baals. And they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, from among the gods of the peoples who were around them and bowed down to them. And they provoked the Lord to anger....and he gave them over to plunderers, who plundered them.
Judges 2:20-22 - "Because this people have transgressed my covenant that I commanded their fathers and have not obeyed my voice, I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations that Joshua left when he died, in order to test Israel by them, whether they will take care to walk in the way of the Lord as their fathers did, or not."

God can use us not because we are fearless, but because we overcome fear through faith.

Deuteronomy 13:6-10 - "If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son or your daughter or the wife you embrace or your friend who is as your own soul entices you secretly, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods'....you shall not yield to him or listen to him....You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

The safest place is to be in the center of God's will for your life and we give all fear to Him.
