What a beautiful thing it is to have the Word of God proclaimed to us. By faith, we hear and receive the Word of God, but what is “faith”? Faith is our reliance upon God and the grasp that He is trustworthy. Faith and Promise are intimately connected. Faith holds onto that which is Promised, and the Promise is given to those who endure in faith. Thus, we rely on the promises of God that He will do what He says He will do. We look at Romans 10:9-17 today as Pastor Matzat leads us into a look at faith and the message of salvation that we believe by faith.
