For some reason we have this idea that God wants us to come all buttoned and hair sprayed up; looking like we have it all together. We think God is delighted when we have everything together but God doesn’t delight in what you want to portray to others – He delights when you come just as you are. We used to sing this old hymn at the end of services that went like this; “Just as I am without one plea, but that thy blood was shed for me and that thou bidst me come to thee oh lamb of God I come.” Just as I am. That’s how He wants you. Christmas Sunday is here!
